The third mystery girl from YG’s upcoming girl group has been revealed.

On the 11th, YG uploaded a 1 minute 37 second-long video through their YG life blog. On the said video, the mystery girl showcased her dancing ability ahead of their debut, and she was confirmed to be the 5th member of YG’s girls generation. She’s a 16 year old girl who’s half Korean and half Caucasian.



Prior to this, the other members of this upcoming girl group were revealed. The list includes Yuna Kim, Kim Eunbi, and two other mystery girls. Both Kim Eunbi and Yuna Kim has appeared already on “Superstart K” so the information about the mystery girls evoked curiosity among netizens. If you’ll have a close look to the members of YG’ mystery girlgroup, you can see that they are somewhat similar to the girls who rocked the music industry like a comet, girlgroup 2NE1.

First is Kim Eunbi who’s known as the “oldest” in the team despite her young age (19), she has made an appearance on Superstar K2 last 2010 and showed off her exceptional singing abilities which made her enter the Top 6. Following to this, YG unveiled the 3rd mystery girl today, and just like the previous mystery girls, she’s also cloaked with mystery, but she’s found to have powerful dancing skills and she’s gifted with sense of rhythm. On the video that has been released, she was dancing with fast music, and her body is flexible. This girl has been identified to be born in the year 1997 and the “youngest” member of the girlgroup, same as 2NE1′s Gong Minzy, who’s also the youngest in 2NE1 and the one in-charge of dancing.

Thus, YG’s upcoming girlgroup will be made up of girls between 16-20 years old.Also, the exact number of the members has not been finalized yet.

2NE1 also gave off pretty image yet flipped the concept to hip-hop, and they’re sweeping all charts simultaneously since debut like queens. The attention of the public has been concentrated on the idea if YG will also follow 2NE1′s trend for this upcoming girlgroup.

YG Entertainment’s CEO, YG (Yang Hyun Suk) revealed the reason why he doesn’t eat with the singers of his agency, such as Big Bang and 2NE1. On May 14, he was on SBS “Healing Camp,” where he talked about his personal life, his business, and untold stories about the years when he was part of Seo Taiji and Boys.

On this day, Yang Hyun Suk explained about a statement made by Park Jin Young, who appeared on “Healing Camp” before Yang Hyun Suk. When he was on the show, Park Jin Young said, “Hyun Suk hyung is very strict with the YG singers. There are levels of hierarchy, which has an order of ranks or positions.”

The charismatic warriors of B.A.P recently made their comeback with ‘Power‘, and gained much recognition on and off the music charts.

With their star power growing, fans have been eager to perform covers and mashups featuring the group and one particular mashup has been receiving the attention of netizens.

K-pop male idols 2PM and female girl group 2NE1 will stage live performances at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards Japan (MTV VMAJ).

On Friday, the MTV VMAJ’s official website showed that 2PM and 2NE1 will sing their hit Japanese songs at the awards ceremony, which will open at the Makuhari Messe Hall in Chiba on June 23.

At the event being hosted by popular Japanese electro trio Perfume, both K-pop idol groups will share the stage with internationally famous artists such as Exile, Miliyah Kato, J Soul Brothers III and Linkin Park.

Meanwhile, 2PM and 2NE1 received nominations at the MTV VMAJ 2012 in the best group video category, each with their music videos to “I’m Your Man” and “I am the Best.”

Several other K-pop acts including Girls’ Generation, KARA, SHINee and CNBLUE were also nominated at the music fest.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk (43) publicly declares that he doesn’t find 2NE1 pretty.

Top girl group 2NE1 and soon-to-debut boy band A-JAX have been invited to perform at the 12th “A-Nation Musicweek.”

2NE1 and A-JAX will bring Japanese music fans to their feet by performing their hit songs at the Yoyogi National First Gymnasium in Tokyo, set to be held between August 3 and 12, sources said.

Hosted by music software company AVEX, the 10-day festival will open under different themes everyday, such as ‘Band’, ‘Anime songs’, ‘Idol’ and ‘Rock.’

On the opening day of the annual summer event, August 3, 2NE1 has been announced to appear on stage with Japanese hip-hop group m-flo, according to 2NE1′s official Japanese website.

Also, A-JAX will serve as the opening acts of ‘Asia Progress M’ on August 9, which features rookie male artists in the region, with other K-pop groups U-KISS and SHUI and Japanese groups AAA and DEEP, A-JAX’s official told 10Asia in a brief phone interview.

Since its beginning in 2002, the a-nation musicweek has presented performances by A-list acts including Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, BoA and TVXQ!

Meanwhile, an official from 2NE1′s agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed this morning that the girls will be returning to the local music scene in mid-June with a new album, though they have yet to decide whether it is going to be a mini-album or an official full-track album.

On May 24th, CL shared a new group photo of the girls with their stylist along with a short message of, “WHAT“, leading fans to speculate it to be the title of their new lead track.

Stylist Yang Seung Ho is holding up a banner with inter-crossed V’s to form a W. Previously, memberDara had aroused the curiosity of fans regarding their upcoming comeback, so CL’s follow up message has definitely gotten heads turning.

Since its debut, the 2NE1 members caught eyes for their wholly different style, donning studs, crazy hair and legos in a way never before seen on stage.

2NE1’s CL was even featured as a guest judge on Project Runway Korea, where the aspiring designers had to create a look that fit CL’s very particular and unique style. The group even and the group even had its own Adidas sneaker with Jeremy Scott.

On the other end of the fashion spectrum, there’s the Girls’ Generation (SNSD) members, who may not go as wild and crazy as 2NE1, but definitely rock the designer goods like no other.

On a recent trip to London for the Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2012 show, the members were snapped in gear that cost more than our monthly rent.

You simply cannot deny 2NE1′s contact with international stars. Global producer Will.I.Am recently made a visit and Korea and he spent some time with the girls of 2NE1.

Last February, Will.I.Am went clubbing with CL, Dara and Bom (Minzy is underage). Through his Twitter, he wrote “Had a great time in Korea with 2NE1″ together with a photo of him with with each of the members.

Following this post, he said “Minzy can’t come inside the club tonight because she’s still a minor. But we will party for Minzy!” showing his affection towards the girls.

Particularly, when he knew that his birthday was mated with CL, he posted “ Me and CL are both Pisces,Happy belated birthday CL! February 26th.”

2NE1 fans would also be able to quench their thirst. Currently, 2NE1, along with exclusive producer Teddy, has completed seven songs. 2NE1 is still in deep discussion as to which one of three songs out of the current finished songs, would be chosen to be the title song. When the album would be released, the group is expected to be active in promotional activities, as well as other broadcasts. It has not been determined yet as to whether this new album would be a full album or a mini album.

Yang Hyun Suk said, “There’s more unity amongst the Big Bang and 2NE1 members now since their debut, so they are giving the best music that they could offer,” he also added, “I personally think that I would give both groups 100 points out of 100 points for their new songs,” he said, showing his confidence.

Yang Hyun Suk also followed with, “In particular, my mind is at ease with 2NE1. 2NE1 always does well when they release new songs. Their fashion in addition to their skills, have made them a group which already has recognition. Their comeback is something to look forward to,” he finished.

In a recent broadcast of KBS ‘Win Win’ Boa has mentioned how difficult it was to learn English and Japanese so she could promote internationally. As K-Pop goes global it is only natural that K-Pop groups are made of members of diverse background and having international members can become a big advantage as these groups branch out internationally.

YG Entertainment revealed on June 7 that the company officially opened up a ‘YG Store’ on eBay, with hopes of reaching out to overseas fans who cannot access Korean internet shopping sites.

At the YG store (http://stores.ebay.com/ygentertainment), fans can find albums of Big Bang, Se7en and 2NE1, as well as fan goods like glow sticks, character pens, clothing and more.

With the new store, YG Entertainment plans to make Big Bang the first celebrities in Asia to open up a Celebrity Store on eBay, following other stars such as Lady GaGa, George Clooney and Stephen Colbert.
