Girl’s Day talks about their debut stage

Lots of netizens were very disappointed
with rookie girl group Girl’s Day’s debut stage. They
sounded off, breathy and flat while singing their song Tilt My Head.

In a recent interview, the five girls were asked, “How did you
feel when you were singing?”
They answered,

Maybe it’s because we were so nervous but we couldn’t
hear our own voices. It wasn’t our first time on stage and our first
time on TV. I think TV microphones are different from performance
mics. It felt different than from when we recorded it.
We felt weird while singing but we didn’t know were ruining our
stage. We experienced what TV performances are like.
We didn’t go on the internet (to avoid hateful comments). The most we
did was go on messenger. We had a performance the next day so we just
cheered each other on for that. We were nervous that we would mess up
the next one as well.
We hope people can understand that we were trying to express the
theme of the song rather than modifying our voices to sound cute.

It looks like they learned their lesson.
