After School’s first sub-unit, Orange Caramel, which consists of members Nana, Raina, and Lizzy, has just wrapped up their first week of music program promotions for their mini album and debut song, Magic Girl.

And After School’s leader Kahi has showed her support for her young group members who are striking out on their own as she tweeted, “Please love our pretty ones, Orange Caramel~^^ Even when I look at them, they are so cute!!!”

In response to Super Junior’s Heechul uploading photoshopped pictures of the fictitious group, Peanut Caramel starring certain Super Junior members, Orange Caramel has expressed their gratitude in an interview.

In the interview, the members said, “We saw the Peanut Caramel parody pictures on the internet and laughed for quite a long time.”

Super Junior fans had photoshopped the faces of Super Junior members, Ryeowook, Eunhyuk, Shindong and Heechul onto the faces of Orange Caramel members in their album cover picture. Heechul later uploaded the pictures on his Twitter and the rest is history as it caught on and became an instant hit.



They continued, “We are really grateful to them for doing this and we will be thanking them when we see them on music programs soon. The pictures looked really real and you have to look closely to realize that its photoshopped. We once again thank our sunbaes, Super Junior for promoting our name.”

After School's sub group "Orange Caramel" has been widely popular among Elementary School students!

Orange Caramel debuted on the 18th on Music Bank with their song "magic girl" where they had a retro pop song where they staged cute and sporty outfits also showing a "cartoon-like" image.

On the 20th, after their performance at Inkigayo, Orange Caramel's website crashed due to huge traffic and the server was down for nearly 7 hours.

Orange Caramel are very popular nowadays especially for elementary school students due to their concept that targets the younger audience. Unlike After Schools image which is sexy, Orange Caramel shows a more cute and loving concept appropriate for the younger audience.

Also, Orange Caramel will be having an event with Online entertainment site UFO Town this coming 27th to introduce the group to the whole internet community.

UFO town officials said, "Orange Caramel are hugely popular especially among elementary school students due to their unique concept showing a cute and sporty image also showing a distinctive stage performance, We hope that they will be recognized in Korea, Asia and all over the world".

Meanwhile, Orange Caramel's "Young and fresh" image are getting alot of interests especially to online users and due to it's popularity a lot of parody's have been uploaded online.

Orange Caramel are school dropouts?

Suspended from school?

Don’t take this literally, as this is another one of Wang Biho’s bitter yet joke-like schemes on the recent Gag Concert.

After School’s sub-unit group Orange Caramel consisting of Raina, Nana, and Lizzy is currently garnering hot attention for their lovable cute and fresh concept for their title song, Magic Girl and attended Gag Concert as part of their promotions.

However, Wang Biho scoffed, “UEE and Kahi are actively coming out on variety shows without having to do that (acting cute),” and continued to tease Orange Caramel by comparing them to the After School members.

He went on,“Having been in After School, now they are taking supplementary classes. If you came out from After School, are you guys school dropouts? (Totally) You guys didn’t really leave, so you guys must be suspended then.”

This joke may sound a bit confusing, but Wang Biho is using the group name After School as a pun. Since Orange Caramel is After School’s sub-unit, Wang Biho is teasing the Orange Caramel members as being ’school’ dropouts or suspended from ’school’ since they currently aren’t active in After School.

Towards the end Wang Biho showed some support and yelled, “Orange Caramel forever!” instead of his usual catchphrase. Check out this segment below!

After School’s unique group with candy culture style Orange Caramel members are spotted at a fast restaurant!

Photos of the girls seen in their performing outfit at a fast food chain were shared by netizens online. The photos were taken after the girls’ schedule on music programs. And the photos are giving netizens a good laugh as the girls are seen wearing their performing outfit offstage and outside their performance.

The netizen who posted the photos commented, “The moment they entered the fast food restaurant, everyone’s gaze was fixed on them. Seeing them queuing up to order food, they are cute. I continued to follow them wanting to get an autograph, but in the end I wasn’t brave enough. In the future, I shall go to the fast food restaurant more often.”

Orange Caramel makes a daring promise with their fans



After School’s sub-unit, Orange Caramel (Raina, Nana, Lizzy), appeared on the recent episode of KBS Win Win, and during the segment with questions for a promise-keeping project, they were asked:

“If your fans were to support you guys on a music show while holding onto magic wands, how would you three reward them back?”

After pausing for thought, the girls decided to make a promise for their fans, announcing,”If fans cheer for us while holding onto magic wands, we will dance in the heart of the city of Myungdong wearing our Sailor Moon outfits and holding our wands.”

The reason why this humorous question was thrown at them is quite simple. As soon as Orange Caramel first debuted, their cute and fresh concepts, choreography, and appearances made their reminded their fans of animation characters. This total concept change aside from the previous ones while they were in After School, showed a whole different side to these 3 girls, stimulating laughs for the netizens.

Due to their comic-like concept, Orange Caramel is extremely popular amongst elementary schoolers. In addition, Super Junior’s Heechul, Eunhyuk, and Shindong Peanut Caramel parody has become a masterpiece.



Lizzy and Raina shared the reactions of their friends when they first heard their new title song, Magic Girl:

Lizzy: “I called f(x)’s Amber, and as soon as she picked up the phone, she started to laugh. She said ‘it’s really funny’ and ‘it’s addicting’.”

Raina: “Right before Magic Girl was released, I let my friends listen to this song. One of my friends positively reacted ‘Very good’ while another friend said ‘I can’t listen to this all the way till the end’ and turned off the song.”

Orange Caramel has been receiving loads of attention lately with Heechul’s very own Peanut Caramel and 4minute’s Jiyoon dancing to some of the Magic Girl choreography.

Well, it looks like 2PM’s Taecyeon, MBLAQ’s Mir, and BEAST have also been taking part in the new popular craze. A BEAST fan that goes by the name of 龙燮吧.梁耀燮吧 posted some photoshopped pictures of Orange Caramel with faces of each BEAST member which have been spreading like wildfire. It looks like we now have a BEAST Caramel, and it suits them quite well!

In addition, during yesterday’s episode of Music Core, a fan caught Mir dancing to Nana’s specific parts of Magic Girl while getting ready to perform their own song.




And finally, Taecyeon was caught dancing to the song during the episode of Inkigayo that aired back on June 27th. He looks cute doing the dance, although it may have been somewhat awkward for some.

Girl group After School’s first unit Orange Caramel member Raina and Lizzy revealed a cute sticker picture the two took together.

Last month on the 28th, Raina used her Twitter to show the sticker picture pasted on the back of Nana’s cell phone. In the picture, the two are shown opening their eyes wide with comical expressions along with cute and friendly smiles like true idols.

Orange Caramel and group One Two were the guests on the recent MBC radio broadcast of Shindong, Park Gyuri’s ShimShimTaPa. They caused a lot of laughs for the listeners as well as viewers with their witty talks and live performances on the set.

After the broadcast, Orange Caramel and One Two posed for a photo with DJ Shindong and Gyuri. However, something about the photos made netizens laugh.

Peanut Caramel and Orange Caramel came face-to-face on the recent broadcast of Kim Heechul’s Young Street!

Orange Caramel entertained the viewers and listeners with their witty talks and their live performance on set.

As the girls were putting on their live stage, Heechul joined in the singing and dancing festivities. This funny moment was captured on camera and uploaded onto the program’s bulletin board. From the photot, one could see that Heechul cutely performed Orange Caramel’s choreography, causing the girls to burst into laughter.

After School leader GaHee will be having her solo album release either late August or early September.

After the reveal of unique group Orange Caramel consisting of members Raina, Nana and Lizzy, GaHee will start on her unique activities for After School with a solo album.

Pledis revealed, “GaHee will be starting on her solo activities either late next month or early September. And she is currently doing training and practising for that.

GaHee has always been known for her powerful dance skills, but vocal capabilities is equally important for her solo debut. With that, she is currently attending vocal trainings from Nexstar Entertainment which grooms popular composers like Jo YeongSoo and Ahn YeongMi etc.

Apart from performing with After School at the upcoming Sundown Festival 2010, the three lovely ladies comprising of Raina, Nana and Lizzy of the sub-group, Orange Caramel will also be meeting their fans the following day.

On August 1st, Orange Caramel will be having an autograph session for their fans in Singapore at the Level 5 Roof Garden at Lot 1 Shoppers’ Mall (CCK) from 4 – 5pm. This was arranged by Rock Records Singapore which will see Orange Caramel perform Magic Girl too. For those who are interested, you must purchase the special Singapore edition album which will be released locally in stores on July 23rd and ONE album is entitled to be signed by just ONE member.

It was announced yesterday that Orange Caramel would hold a special autograph session in Singapore. For those of you looking forward to this, there’s some bad news. Unfortunately, the autograph session has been canceled due to issues involving their contract.

Orange Caramel Singapore promo tour has been officially cancelled due to contractual issues. Rock Records was officially informed of the cancellation of promo tour today. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Even though the promo tour did not work out this time round, both Rock Records and the management companies are still looking forward to arranging Orange Caramel and also After School to visit Singapore again near future.

Despite the promo tour is cancelled, Orange Caramel & After School latest mini album will still be officially launched in Singapore next week. Please do continue to give your support towards After School & Orange Caramel.

After School’s three-membered sub-unit group, Orange Caramel, is taking a three day trip to Taiwan to meet their fans and promote their first mini-album, Orange Caramel.
Nana, Lizzy and Reina got a chance to meet with their fans in Taiwan while promoting their first mini-album. The girls introduced themselves and thanked all their fans for coming to the event. Performing Magic Girl, it seems the fans were all familiar with the lyrics as they sang along during the chorus.

The girls also performed a Chinese version of M2M’s The Day You Went Away which received a positive response from the audience as their pronunciation was clear.

After performing, Orange Caramel met with Taiwanese boy group, Lollipop, who presented the girls with flower bouquets. The boys went on to talk about what it was like to meet Orange Caramel and danced to the chorus of Magic Girl.

Korean girl group Orange Caramel's Lai Na (Raina), Li Zi (Lizzy), Na Na (Nana), who have a delicate and helpless appearance, are actually very brave and curious girls.
The threesome happily ate a mouthful of Stinky Tofu, Pork Blood's Cake and Chicken Heart, which many foreigners keep a distance from. They ate them just like any other Taiwanese would have done.

After that she eat the Chicken Heart and repeatedly praised it for tasting good.

In the mini album they sang a Chinese song "The first person I love" ("The day you went away") but the three of them shyly said "We don't have any love experience, we would want to date".
Nana expressed, at school she would get some attention from guys, but due to her being busy with studies and promotions she hasn't met "the first person she loves" yet.
Among the three the 21 year-old Raina is the oldest. She was a barista before debut.
Lizzy said "If I weren't a celebrity I would want to become an anchor, that's a dream I've had since I was child." Nana, who was a model before, wants to become a make-up artist.

Previously, it was reported that Kahi’s solo album would be delayed for a few weeks - but now it appears that the album has experienced another delay, due to the upcoming comeback activities for Orange Caramel.

After School’s management company, Pledis Entertainment, expressed, ‘Initially we planned to promote Kahi first and then Orange Caramel, but then it was decided that Orange Caramel will hold their activities first.‘ Pledis plans to release Orange Caramel’s second mini-album in mid-November.

Although all the preparations for Kahi’s solo album are complete, there have been problems over the selection of a suitable title track.

Yet the representative reassured, ‘We decided to have Orange Caramel start their activities at the end of the year, and it’s very possible that Kahi’s solo album will be revealed early next year.‘

It’s likely that her agency decided on a 2011 release date due to the many awards ceremonies and concerts which congest the end of the year.

Although Kahi’s fans won’t be able to listen to her solo album until next year, rest assured that the extra time will be spent on finding and practicing the perfect title song.

Earlier this week, Orange Caramel revealed their comeback concept group photo for their second mini album. Today, their website (www.orangecaramel.co.kr) was updated with an individual teaser photo for Orange Caramel member Lizzy.

Lizzy’s teaser photo appears to be based off of the popular novel/movie, “Alice in Wonderland.” However, she doesn’t seem to be dressed up as any specific character.

While her hair color and the different suits imprinted on her dress imply that she may be dressed as the Queen of Hearts, the blue color of her dress and her sweet smile resembles that of Alice.

According to the website, Nana’s teaser photo will be revealed tomorrow while Raina’s will be out the day after tomorrow! Make sure to check allkpop in the next 2 days for the next update!

Earlier in the week, Orange Caramel revealed their comeback concept group photo for their second mini album, as well as an individual teaser photo for Lizzy. Today, a second individual teaser photo was released, featuring Orange Caramel member Nana.

Nana’s outfit closely resembles the character Snow White from the classic books and films with the red bow, blue / red top, and yellow skirt. However, her hair color is different with what appears to be a blonde wig opposed to Snow White’s black hair.

After School’s sub-unit group, Orange Caramel, has revealed the title track from their second mini-album.

‘Aing♡‘ will be leading as the main track from the five-song list, which is comprised of four new tracks and an instrumental.

Their soon-to-be hit single was composed by Wheesung and Jo Young Su, the composer behind their first mini-album title track, “Magic Girl“. The two have come together in an attempt to create another hit, and claim that the song features a ‘Korean melody’ that is sure to delight fans.

The lyrics also include cute expressions, such as “Aing, aing, you make me so happy, aing aing.”

Orange Caramel’s new album will be released on November 18th. (Aing, aing! - Shoot, we haven’t even heard the track and we’re loving it already!)
