TV Guide Japan Magazine Translation; in a rare showing, Kara praises each other
Korean leading girl group, KARA, who debuted in 2007 and became a new phenomenon with the charming Butt Dance of Mister in 2009, finally debuted in Japan on August 11, 2010.

Firstly, each member, please introduce yourself to all readers in Japan.
Gyuri: Nice to meet you. I'm KARA's leader, Gyuri. As you can see, I'm responsible of being KARA's goddess.
Seungyeon: I'm Seungyeon, also known as the short unnie of Korea. Although being the same age as Gyuri and the oldest member of KARA, I look quite small and childish so people give me that nickname (laugh).
Hara: My name is Hara, I'm responsible for KARA's cool image. What else…? (laugh)
Nicole: I'm Nicole, who takes strong/healthy image of KARA. People often told me that I was strange/4D as well (laugh).
Jiyoung (speaking in Japanese): I'm maknae Jiyoung. Since I'm the tallest, so I represent the height of KARA.
KARA's members talked about each other.
ABOUT HARA
Gyuri: She is a kid who is always willing to step back a step for others.
Seungyeon: I envy Hara's strong personality. She does not fluctuate no matter what happens.
Nicole: She is cool but also sensitive. When I think about it, she has always done in my favor (laugh). {Nicole means that she is satisfied with all the thing Hara have done or she agreed and would also do like what Hara have done in many situations}
Jiyoung: I like her cool and sometimes cute character.
ABOUT SEUNGYEON
Gyuri: We are same age as each other and we used to share the same room in our dorm. We understand each other deeply.
Hara: She always behaves naturally and cutely, and I like that very much.
Nicole: Endless humor and the ability to make divine response.
Jiyoung: She looks really cute being small, even though she's the unnie. I sometimes really like to tease her (laugh).
ABOUT GYURI
Seungyeon: A person who always keeps others not to know even though she is the most tired.
Hara: She's like a mother! She's a leader who always takes good care of the members every day.
Nicole: She's the kind of people who always tries her best for others.
Jiyoung: The expert in solving my worries. There is nothing that she cant handle.
ABOUT NICOLE
Gyuri: Always cares about others' feelings and situations. She is a warm-hearted and sweet kid.
Seungyeon: A kid who always acts very honestly to herself, to her own feelings and emotions.
Hara: She is always clear with herself. She works hard to lose weight as well. I personally think she is awesome.
Jiyoung: I want to learn from her how to build a clearly daily schedule and always done strictly in accordance with what was proposed.
ABOUT JIYOUNG
Gyuri: A cute maknae who always gives me lots of love.
Seungyeon: She has a white and soft skin… like bread (laugh). She is a dongsaeng whom I always want to take care of.
Hara: Even though she is the maknae, she always takes good care of us, her unnies.
Nicole: She always puts in efforts, but I also feel that she knows how to enjoy her life happily.
Is it right that you guys will debut in Japan in this August with the hit song Mister, which was really famous in Korea?
Gyuri: Yes! In fact, we already had an opportunity to perform in Japan at the beginning of this year, but I really did not expect to see so many people participating, it was way above our expectation. I'm actually worried about us being active in Japan but I said to myself that "I need to try harder." Currently all members are studying Japanese very hard.
Seungyeon: Mister is a song which was loved by Koreans. But I wonder "Will Japanese audience like this song as well?"
Nicole: Even at the first couple second, the "lalala~" melody already gives a catchy impression to the audiences
Jiyoung: In addition, there are also highlights of the Butt Dance. Let the curves on your body to speak and dance with us.
Hara: Yeah, that's right. Don't be shy and just have fun with us!
So as the title of the song, what is your ideal "Mister"?
Hara: Uhm… An attractive person. Actually, I dont have a specific ideal type.
Gyuri: You (Hara) sound a little picky (laugh). I like guy who is manly, optimistic and hard working. He must have good manner and must be a person whom I can fully respect.
Hara: Are there that many requirements? That guy seems hard to find..
Seungyeon: Hahaha. I prefer cute guy over manly guy. He would be someone like my father, always think for me and help me.
Nicole: A person who has cute smiling face. I think it would be awesome if he likes to cook and eat like me.
Jiyoung: First thing, I absolutely will not choose someone whom I don't feel fun to be with. Also, I like people with similar interests, such as clothing style.
Once being active in Japan, what will you want to challenge yourself with?
Gyuri: To be standing on the stage of Tokyo Dome!
Seungyeon: Firstly, I want to complete my works as a gasoo. And if there is opportunity, I want to try variety shows.
Nicole: I want to be standing on stages of many music programs and performing my best.
Jiyoung: I wanna speak Japanese fluently first because I want to be able to talk comfortably with all the fans.
Hara: I want to meet members of Japanese girl groups. But the first thing I want to do is to work hard to show everyone the image of a lovely idol from Korea.
Message Cards which the members personally wrote:
Jiyoung's card: Jiyoung is extremely focusing in writing a letter by hand with a cute pink pen. Of course, she does not forget to write message in Japanese.
Nicole's card: Nicole is studying Hiragana while writing the message. It is really cute to see her being shy and confused.
Gyuri's card: Gyuri will surely write the entire message in Japanese. Her hand-writing is really perfect. She is truly the leader.
Seungyeon's card: Seungyeon is wondering and thinking to write the best message. You will surely be attracted by her pretty illustrated pictures.
Hara's card: Hara is challenging herself by writing a colorful card entirely in Japanese. How she asked the staffs shows her seriousness. {which means that Hara was taking this really seriously, she asked the staffs to make sure that her Japanese was correct}
