Big Bang’s G-Dragon released his Shine a Light DVD in Korea back in April. However, in Japan it was released on July 21st and the DVD has reached the top spot of the Oricon DVD Daily Sales chart!

No exact sales figures were given but you can view the ranking on the Oricon Website. Many thanks to bb4ever for the tip and congratulations to G-Dragon.

It has been reported that G-DRAGON of BIG BANG is in a relationship with a ViVi (fashion magazine) model, Mizuhara Kiko.

According to Sanspo.com, they started dating after BIG BANG debuted in Japan, and they have been in a long distance relationship since.

Mizuhara Kiko is half American and half Korean (Korean Japanese), born in Texas, and raised in Kobe, Japan. She is fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean.

However, on the 14th, G-Dragon’s agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed that G-Dragon knows Mizuhara Kiko, but has denied that they are dating, as they stated:

It is known that when G-Dragon goes to Japan for Big Bang’s schedules, he often meets and hangs out with a model [Mizuhara Kiko]. But it is not true that they are dating.

What do you think about the statement? It was a quick denial from G-Dragon’s agency, but even if the rumor were true, you would expect this kind of answer anyway, wouldn’t you?

Big Bang’s company YG Entertainment officially denied the rumors that G-Dragon and Japanese model Mizuhara Kiko were in a relationship.

An official from YG Entertainment spoke to Edaily SPN on the phone the morning of the 14th and revealed, “They met when Big Bang began their activities in Japan last year, and G-Dragon would meet up with her whenever he was in Japan. They are friendly, but they are not dating.”

Furthermore, “Mizuhara Kiko is not only friendly with G-Dragon but with the other Big Bang members also,” and added laughing, “It seems Big Bang has gotten famous seeing as such scandals are popping up locally (in Japan).”

Sanskei Sports in Japan had received lots of attention with their report claiming that Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon and Japanese model Mizuhara Kiko were dating, and that the two were maintaining a long-distance relationship even amidst G-Dragon’s busy schedule that brought him back and forth between Korea and Japan.

Big Bang’s fashionista leader turned 23 earlier this morning in South Korea. Fans have been making his birthday a trending topic on Twitter and fellow rapper Flo Rida seems to have taken notice.


#HappyGDay is what fans have been posting on Twitter for hours since it became the 18th of August in Seoul, Korea time. Twitter enthusiast Flo Rida posted the following on his personal Twitter account,


Along with wishing G-Dragon a happy birthday, Flo Rida went on to re-tweet other comments from fans, who showed enthusiasm for another reunion between the two rappers.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon has been receiving overseas attention ever since he opened up for Flo Rida’s South Korea concert back in May.

Recent photos have been posted on the internet of G-Dragon and TaeYang getting iced desserts on a vacation break with their dance team. G-Dragon seems to be sporting his newly dyed sleek bright hair… and also topless! TaeYang, too, was lingering around without a top. His acclaimed built body attracted many glances as seen in the photos.

Fans who saw the photos said enthusiastic comments like, “Seeing G-Dragon oppa taking off his top… my heart begins to flutter”, “They’re firing up the jealousy in me,” etc.

G-Dragon’s fans donate over $18,000 to a hospital under his name



G-Dragon’s 23rd birthday seems to be getting wilder every second! We have already seen the mighty Flo Rida congratulate the superstar personally through twitter, but it now seems like it’s his fans’ turn to join the party.

On behalf of G-Dragon, a group of his fans (aka G-Dragon’s Supporters) gathered to raise over $18,000 for Seoul University Children Hospital. This isn’t actually their first time to support the ones in need under G-Dragon’s name, as they’ve already donated over $10,000 yearly for Catholic Saint Hospital for the past couple years.

Personally, I believe raising money for good cause like this one is much better than to spend them on a pricey newspaper ad. What do you think?
