CNBLUE’s Yonghwa clarifies his scandal with KARA’s Hara

CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa recently guested on KBS’s “Happy Together 3” and personally clarified his scandal with KARA’s Goo Hara.

Recently, pictures of the two looking affectionate caught the attention of netizens, which naturally brought about rumors of dating. When asked about the scandal, Yonghwa emphasized that they were just friends by stating, “I got close with her through a variety program. The picture was taken when we hadn’t seen each other for a long time, so we felt really glad to see each other and fooled around a bit.”

He continued, “Hara just lightly hit my chest, and someone happened to take a screenshot right at that second, which somehow blew up into full press reports.”

Hilariously, his scandals didn’t end there though, as Dal Shabet’s Serri added, “I once saw Yonghwa hit on not Hara, but f(x)’s Sulli.”

Jung Yonghwa’s High School Friend Reveals his ‘Study’ Habits



A high school buddy of Jung Yonghwa’s brutally spilled the beans about how Yonghwa spent his time ’studying’ before his college entrance exams.

On the May 6th episode of SBS’s “Dalgona” (or “Sweet Hometown Days“), Jung Dong Young claimed that he failed his college entrance exam because of Yonghwa. He revealed, “When we gathered to study, he made us promise to go see the sunrise to commemorate the 100th day before the exam, so we went to go see the sunrise.”

Jung Dong Young continued, “With 50 days left until the exam, Yonghwa said that we had to restore the health of our body, so because we didn’t have money, we ate soup and rice instead of studying. With one week left, we went to go eat gizzard shad (a type of fish) because of Yonghwa’s persuasion.”

The heat continued to roll in against the CNBLUE member as Jung Dong Young spilled, “The day before the exam, we knew we had to study, but Yonghwa said because we have to go play after the exam, we should go shopping for clothes to wear… so we went shopping.”

He then jokingly questioned, “You are now making lots of money – how will you take responsibility for our future?”, which ended up shocking Yonghwa. However, Jung Dong Young immediately confessed,“Truthfully, when we followed handsome Yonghwa, girls always swarmed around us. We stuck by him to see the benefits”, causing much laughter in the studio.

CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa appeared in yesterday’s episode of KBS “Entertainment Report” and made Yong-Seo couples everywhere smile with joy. He starred in the guerrilla date segment where he was asked who his ideal girl was. Fellow CNBlue members narrowed down f(x)’s Sulli and Girls’ Generation (SNSD)’s Tae Yeon as Jung Yong Hwa’s ideal girl. CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa transforms 180 degrees in MBC’s “You’ve Fallen For Me”




‘Milk Man’ Jung Yong Hwa is playing cold-hearted ‘Lee Shin’ and going out on a hunt to capture the hearts of ladies everywhere!

On MBC’s new Wednesday/Thursday drama, “You’ve Fallen For Me”, Yong Hwa will play a flower boy-band’s vocalist who lives and dies by his guitar, is ill-mannered, but also is sometimes silly.

In a released picture, Jung Yong Hwa is completely focused on playing his guitar. With his concentrated eyes, Jung Yong Hwa is raising the expectations for guitar genius Lee Shin.

“When I first read the script, I thought Lee Shin was cruel and careless,” said Jung Yong Hwa. He introduced Lee Shin as “Someone who only looks ignorant because he only cares about music, but is actually a warm and sensitive character.”

Jung Yong Hwa added, “I’m glad that I met a character perfect for me and that I can show myself as an actor once again. I am trying my best to not disappoint the audience.”

“You’ve Fallen For Me” is a youthful melodrama that paints young people’s dreams, friendships, and loves, all based in a performing arts college.

The first episode will air on June 29th after MBC’s “The Best Love” ends.
