SNSD reaches gold selling 100,000 copies of their first Japanese single 2

SNSD has sold over 100,000 copies of their first Japanese single "Genie".

According to Japan Record Associations on the 15th, it was announced on their website that SNSD's debut single "Genie" has been awarded gold already for selling over 100,000 copies.

This is SNSD's debut single showing their huge popularity in Japan. SNSD has reached the highest singles sales among the Korean girl groups that has entered the Japanese market. KARA's debut single "Mr" has hit 70,005 sales (according to Oricon).

Meanwhile, SNSD will be releasing their second Japanese single "Gee" on the 20th of October and there are much anticipation of their second single will be as successful as their first single.
